The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown is about Symbologist named Robert Langdon and how he gets dragged into a mess in Washington D.C. involving secret societies, religion, and an antagonist you never would have guessed. Brown takes the reader on a twisting journey through Washington with Langdon trying to save his friends and the society he belonged to (the Masons), preserve his life, all while avoiding the CIA.
This was an A+ novel, Dan Brown is a genius when it comes to mysteries. He provides this amazing brain candy about symbols and secret societies and scientific discoveries. The plots are planned so nicely that you don't know who the antagonist really is, until you know. And while his mastermind plot is unraveling, he'll fill it with all the action he can muster making it so difficult to put the book down.
