I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You is VERY fun. It's a wonderful, laugh-out-loud, action-adventure full of pure fluff. It's absolutely hilarious, and perfect for a light read; the kind of book you turn to when you want something fun and silly. It reminds you of high school drama, with backstabbing, love, friendship and loyalty. It reminds me of high school drama, with backstabbing, love, friendship and loyalty. Filled with plenty of cool gadgets, intriguing teachers, and heart-pounding first-love moments to keep the reader interested, you won't be able to put this book down once you start. It's the kind of book that is easy to read and enjoy without needing to use my brain a lot. And that's okay; it doesn't claim to be a deeply significant story that will blow your mind with its complexity.
There is a relatively straight-forward plot; nothing too fancy. It's interesting and shamelessly fun, but also intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Cammie is the perfect protagonist for this story. She is a spy in training who is witty, smart, sarcastic, independant, yet totally clueless when it comes to boys. She is hilarious and fun with her ridiculous antics and laugh-out-loud funny inner dialogue. Ally Carter reminds me a lot of Meg Cabot in the way she has written this book. It is very easy on the mind- absolute fluff. I loved it!
This book was more of an introduction to Cammie's world. The first chapters were a bit dull, but the plot quickly picked up from there. We begin to uncover the secrets behind Gallagher Academy, which is thought to be a school for privileged elites, but instead, brims with magical possibilities and secret passageways.
Overall, I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You was so much fun, and a great read. I can't wait to read the sequel! And I LOVE the title. It is so cute and so appropriate for the book.
AMAZING REVIEW. This book was really good, though I wouldn't say the BEST of the series. What do you think?
ReplyDeleteThanks :) Yes, this book is really good. I liked the plot of the second book the best out of the 5 books! I think that one would be my favorite, although LYKY is definitely up there.
ReplyDeleteHaha yeahh the second was the best to me!
