Becoming Jane (Movie) - Based of the True Events of the Life of Jane Austen

Not sure if I'm allowed to do a summary for a movie but here goes!

"My characters shall have, after a little bit of trouble, have all that they desire." - Jane Austen

This has got to be one of the most heartbreaking movies I've ever seen. It's from 2007 and it still touches my heart. :') Even though it talks about an old piece of history, it feels as if it's just another modern love story.

"Becoming Jane" was filmed based on the life story of the famous author, Jane Austen. It talks about her life before she became famous, involving her said to be lover, Tom Lefroy. He was a handsome man with a promising job, but a terrible reputation. Following his bad first impression, they have constant arguments over literature. With Jane being a female author, Tom looked down upon that and concluded that she could never be as great as a man. Jane took serious offend and was very angry with him.

Soon enough, Jane's parents decide that it's time for Jane to get married. She is introduced to the new young man, the nephew of a wealthy woman, Mr Wisely. Consequently, Jane turns him down due to lack of affection. In time, Lefroy reazlies Jane's talent in writing. Love was in the air! The two lovebirds only had eyes for each other. With many hardships to come, will these two determined and passionate young people make it through? Will the strength of their renowned love be enough for them to pull through?

Many were not satisfied with the ending of this movie. I certainly was not. It was heartwrenching and I admit that even I shed a few tears. With all good intentions, I recommend this movie to anyone interested in historyical films, or romance. It's not boring as you may suspect it to be. Instead, Becoming Jane puts a new twist to the young author's life. Although, many of the events of this movie are not historically proven, it still lets us in a bit on how Jane Austen lived and how she felt.
