In the heat of the night by John Ball
This is a mystery novel about this black police detective, names Virgil
Tibbs, overcoming racism and prejudice in a small town in Virginia. Virgil was questioned about being the murderer
of a homicide, just because he was black. Virgil Tibbs unwillingly agrees to
help the police, in their murder investigation, he solves the murder case and
gained respect for his race.
I would give this book a 10/10 because, it
shows that no one can hold you up, or show what you’re capable of, but
yourself.
