I'm completely speechless, I just finished the novel and there's not much I can say about how amazing I thought this book was. I honestly couldn't stop reading towards the end of the story when the climax totally enhanced the plot even more! So basically, physic Daisy Giordano is prepared to officially go separate ways with her boyfriend, Ryan (by that, I don't mean breaking up, I mean going to different colleges). This is the last year of her senior year and she might as well make the best of it..until everyone started getting their acceptance letters to different colleges, yet she just remained perplexed and clueless of why she still hadn't received hers. First off, there's this animosity between the vampires and werewolves going on in Nightshade, it is so serious that the staff and guardians are deciding to cancel prom.. would that even be possible? This causes problems with the Giordano family as well because Daisy is dating a were, Rose is dating a were, but Poppy is dating a vampire and Poppy is accusing them of being prejudice to her boyfriend, Liam, just because he was different from their boyfriends.
Daisy has so much on her hands and she promised Lil, that she would free her spirit from being stuck in the same old jukebox for almost eternity. She despises Circe, the witch, but she really needs her help to free that spell she had cast years ago. Balthazar, the pig Circe had, as well, cursed is also in desperate need to change back to human form.
So many things have been occurring in Nightshade and Daisy is determined to get down to this. This woman has also been appearing everywhere in Nightshade, but she doesn't seem to do any harm.. could she be the leader of the Scourge? Why can't Nightshade have peace for once..? Daisy must settle this, along with help from her other physic sisters.
I would rate this book beyond 10000000/10 because it had everything a book needed to keep the reader pondering, thinking, and reading. I absolutely can not wait and resist to read the next book in the series and it is guaranteed you would feel the same after you finish this unpredictable and clever book written by the adroit author, Marlene Perez. I love the twists and I found the book containing humor, romance, paranormal genres too, although it was mainly mystery. I just can't explain more than I already had. Certainly one of the best book I've read in years. TOTAL RECOMMENDATION TO EVERYONE.
