Peter and the Starcatchers

This book is about how young Peter Pan learns to fly and how a pirate lord becomes the famous Captain Hook. Peter is an orphan who is sent off on a ship named the NEVERLAND with his buddies from the  orphanage. He discovers strange things on the ship, such as a rat floating in midair. He discovers that there is a precious treastur onboard the NEVERLAND. A chest full of starstuff- a magical substance that enables the user to flying and healing powers. When the NEVERLAND is assaulted, the boys are marooned on an island where they meet a group of cannibal they ally with. Peter befriends a girl he met on the NEVERLAND named Molly Aster who is a starcatcher. She has a small amount of starstuff in a locket she keeps around her neck. 2 groups of people are after the starstuff, can Peter save it????
