BC's Teen Summer Reading Club

Hi everyone,

I sincerely hope everyone is enjoying Richmond Public Library's first ever teen blog! I certainly am loving your posts and comments, but mostly it's great to see that you are using it to post your poems, quotes, movie announcements and basically anything that relevant to you.

I do realize that as great as I think this blog is, we are limited to what we are able to do, and many of you may be missing the more traditional Teen Summer Reading Club. Well, I've just be notified that the provincial site is now live. Check it out at http://www.teenrc.ca/

They will have weekly author chats, booklists plus they will be giving away their own prizes. Just keep in mind that the prizes RPL has are only for members of this blog. I know you are all busy, but if you love reading and finding out what others have to say, then why not do both???

    I am not sure if you will see this question, but do you also post reviews on this website? If you win, where would you go to pick up the prize?

    ^ If you would like to be a part of the RPL summer reading club, post on this website. If you choose to post here, you will earn a set of prizes from RPL. If you want to be a part of the BC-wide summer reading club, post at teenrc.ca. If you post there, you may earn a set of prizes from that website. I'm pretty sure you would pick up the prize from Brighouse- that's what happened last year.

    Yes, should you post at the BC Teen SRC and win, they will notify me and send the prize to me. I can then send it off to other branches etc. Just note that I won't be monitoring the BC site, so anything you post there won't be eligible for our prizes.
