The Fault in our Stars by John Green was a fantastic book. It's a funny story about two cancer patients who meet in a cancer help group, and subsequently fall in love.
It isn't as bad as it seems, a humor novel about cancer? Unheard of.
But it's really funny, it's not making fun of people with cancer, it's portraying them as strong independent people who are extremely sarcastic and use their superior intelligence to trump those who are less then brilliant and more then slightly offensive.
And like every cancer novel, there are some really sad parts where Green rips your heart out and smashes it into a million little pieces and laughs while he does it.
It was so refreshing to have a humorous cancer novel.
10/10.
