Pandemonium did not quite meet my expectations, or surpass it's predecesser. It was great, but not amazing.
I did not like the idea of a love triangle here. The new boy is wierd and new and I didn't feel like I got to know him at all. I hope I will be more introduced to him and be able to feel for him in the sequel but right now, I am not impressed. I want Alex back! Not the mean, angry Alex that was on the last page, but the sweet, fun Alex I was introduced to in Delirium.
I liked the switch between the past and present. It helped with the excitement and the whats-going-to-happen-next feeling. It kept the story fast-paced and interesting. It was a bit confusing at first, but once you get into it, you can see how well the story is written and how the "then" and "now" aspect really works for it.
The plot was interesting. Lena survives in the wild. She gets stronger, heals, and joins the resistance. It wasn't too unexpected, but it was interesting.
I hate cliffhangers; I need to know what happens. NEED TO KNOW. Can't wait until next year!! Poor Lena :(
When I saw the title of the book, author, and font color I knew it was you who wrote it because you tend to read books by Lauren Oliver. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha yes I love her! And ofc the font ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat review too!
ReplyDeleteWe have very similar personalities! I usually can't wait to read the next novel when the first one ends with a cliffhanger, which is the reason why I like the excitement that it brings. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL yeah we do :P This cliffhanger is killing me. I loveeee reading book series that have all the books published already, because then I can read all the books (no matter how many) in one sitting. Bad habit (especially as I end up wasting whole days) but I can't help it!!
