Jem is, in Tessa's words, "good and kind and beautiful". He is the steady flame, unwavering and honest. In Clockwork Prince, Tessa grows closer to Jem as she attempts to stay away from Will. But there's something about him that catches her attention. Will is the brighter burning star; he has always stood out from the rest. And Tessa finally learns Will's secret. OH NOO! Love triangle </3 Personally, I am rooting for Will, but who know's what will happen?
Cassandra Clare has it set up perfectly so Jem dies and Tessa and Will end up together. Not to be mean, but I'm hoping this is the outcome. I don't like Jem. He's too much of a nice guy. He and Tessa don't belong together.
Of course, the love triangle is a big part of the story, and it is heart-breaking and exciting, but the usual fast-paced action is there as well. The hunt for the magister is on, and Tessa must use her brother to spy on him. She feels guilty, but it is for the greater good.
As with Clockwork Angel, the writing presented in this installment is lovely without crossing into purple prose territory. The development of the characters felt absolutely real in its heartbreaking and honest nature.

ReplyDeleteI KNOW!! I loved it so much <3 Did you like this one or the Mortal Instruments better? I liked this because of the plot, the writing and ofc its set in Victorian Era. It adds to the story a loooot. LOOL Demon Pox xD I haven't seen it yet!! Can you link it?
