Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling

"'I'm not going not be murdered,' Harry said out loud. 'That's the spirit, dear," said his mirror sleepily.'"

This book is really old and long and I've read it a million times...BUT there's something about Rowling's writing that draws you into the story...it could be my weakness for English speech...I can really hear Harry and his friends speak with an English accent throughout the book and that makes everything more enjoyable! Anyways, enough with my Harry Potter obsessive blabbering...here's a blurb of the book!

"Harry Potter, along with his best friends, Ron and Hermione, is about to start his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry can't wait to get back to school after the summer holidays. (Who wouldn't if they lived with the horrible Dursleys? D:) But when Harry gets to Hogwarts, the atmosphere is tense. There's and escaped mass murderer on the loos, and the sinister prison guards of Azkaban have been called in to the guard the school..."

Wow...that blurb was intense :O I'm pretty sure all of you bookworms have read the Harry Potter series. If you haven't, YOU'RE MISSING OUT ON SO MUCH!!! GO READ IT NOW!!!By the way, this is the third book in the series. There's one for every year Harry is at Hogwarts. This book, along with every other in the series receives a 10/10. There's never a page where you want to scream, "Move along already!" Rowling writes with direction. It's amazing how stories from the first book connect to the last (6th) book. You never feel as if each book is a single story or year of Harry's life, they all combine to form one spectacular adventure!

For all those Harry Potter fans, I would just like to know, is the Lord of the Rings series any good? Yes, yes, I haven't read it yet but did you think it was better than HP or worse? Either way, it's one of my must reads on the 'Entire Series Must-Read List' :)

  1. Hi :) Love Harry Potter, love your review. And no, the Lord of the Rings is not good. Contrary to Harry Potter, every single page makes you want to scream "Move along already!". It's so damn boring. I could barely get through the first book, and I didn't bother with any of the others. The plot is, without a doubt, amazing. If the writing was better (much better) it could have been better than Harry Potter. But the writing is horrible and soooo tedious. So, no, it's not better than HP and no, don't bother reading it! :)
