The Daughters: Take The Stage by Joanna Philbin

Review: Well this book started right where the second one ended, so you can tell that the book got right to the point. Its about Hudson, one of the daughters, trying to make it big in music. The only problem is, well her mom. Her mom is Holla Jones the "Queen of Pop." Holla wants Hudson to follow in her footsteps and sing exactly the same stuff she did. Although all Hudson wants is to sing her own kind of music, but if Holla Jones keeps being, well Holla Jones, that dream of Hudson's will never happen. I wouldn't give it a 5/5, but it was still pretty good. The writing was fast paced, and generally witty at parts. Nothing really set this book a part from the others, the only thing a little different was that this book mainly surrounded around self-growth. Hudson learned to stick up for herself, and live her own dreams. She is just as privileged as Carina and Lizzie, but her low self-esteem made her seem more down-to-earth and relatable. These books are predictable, but you don't really read it to be surprised, rather you read it to experience the journey they go through, to get to the expected ending. So if your ready for that go ahead and check out the book.

Also I'm not going to review this book, it's the fourth addition to the daughters series. In the book they introduce a new daughter, Emma Conway. Here's the summary, check it out.

Summary: In the third Daughters novel, The Daughters Take the Stage, Hudson found her own place in "the family business," aka: show business. Now, for the first time, readers will meet Emma Conway, daughter of a powerful New York State Senator.

Emma has never fit into the sweater-set-wearing world of her political family, opting for purple hair and Chuck Taylors to keep herself out of countless photo ops, but when she accidentally lets her father's presidential plans slip on national television, Emma finds herself thrown into the spotlight. Facing pressure to be the perfect First Daughter-in-training, Emma must learn to speak up for herself and for what she believes in. Thankfully, she has her new friends and fellow daughters - Lizzie, Carina, and Hudson - to help her along the way.
