Two new contests! Win great prizes!

Contest #1:
You have to take a photo of something that represents your favourite book (something you've read this summer) – with an explanation of how/why the photo represents the book. But no people are allowed in the photo!

Contest #2:
Come up with an alternative book cover for a book you've read over the summer – that you think better represents the book. With an explanation of why your cover is better. Include the image of the original book cover as well.

Rules:

All entries must be your own original work.

You must have a valid Richmond Public Library card.

One entry per person per contest.

Post your entry on the blog.

If you are unable to post on the blog email your entry to teens@yourlibrary.ca or drop it off at any of the Richmond branches (Brighouse, Ironwood, Cambie, Steveston, Hamilton) - remember to include your name, email address and phone number if you drop it off at a branch.

Deadline: Sunday, August 26th, 2012

Voting will start soon after. More information on how to vote coming soon!

  4. Also, are we allowed to alter the pictures if we want? Or does it have to be straight off the camera as it is?

It can include people, but they have to be fictional, or at the very least - unrecognisable (you can distort the image or use bits and pieces - an eye, nose, ear...you get the picture;) Because the entries are being posted online we would have to get special permission slips for those involved and we don't want to get into that.

  9. Just to clarify - 'fictional' as in your own made up character. Remember all entries have to be your own original work.
