Review: So guys, how far would you go to accomplish an almost impossible wish? In this book Annika Truman goes to the next level of impossible to have her one wish granted, and in this book we see just how much it takes to pull off a miracle. The book began with Annika asking her 6-year-old little brother, who has cancer, for a wish he wanted and she would grant it for him. She thinks he's going to ask for a Teen Robin Hood action figure which she had to fight for, but instead he asks to meet Teen Robin Hood himself, and that's where the adventure begins. This book was just so inspiring and amazing, the main character was strong, determined and wouldn't stop at anything to succeed. So this book had some events that were pretty hard to believe, although I think that was part of the whole idea. It was Annika who had to truly believe something good could happen, not her brother Jeremy who she thought needed it. What really made the book was Annika's pure determination and belief that she could pull this off. All in all this book was a touching, and incredibly heartfelt book that just needs to be read. It honestly makes you believe that sometimes the impossible can happen. ;)
Oh yea BTW is was fun meeting all you guys at the carnival today :)!

ReplyDeleteIn regards to the actual review.. I love this book! Your right about the events being super over-the-top incredulous, but that's what made it so much fun! What I loved was that it was so hilarious but meaningful and touching at the same time. It's not a common combination. Nice review ;P
Actually, I find that humor is used to lighten the mood in many profound and intense books. The Fault in Our Stars, Freak the Mighty and Smiles to Go to name a few. If these depressing books didn't use humor, I don't think I would have been able to finish them :)
