The moon broke briefly through the clouds, allowing me a glimpse of his eyes. The soft velvet was gone, replaced by a hard and hooded black. His were the kind of eyes that held secrets. The kind that lied without flinching. The kind that once you looked into them, it was hard to break away.
~ Nora Grey, on "Patch's eyes"
The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past...bridged two irreconcilable worlds...faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust...and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever.
I waited a whole year for Silence to come out, and I wasn't dissapointed. Fitzpatrick has an engaging writing style with great character development- not only the main characters but also some of the side-kicks like Vee, Scott and Marcie. But what makes me turn the pages rapidly; reading late into the night is the suspense and being one step behind of what is to come. There are quite a few exciting parts, some parts made me laugh out loud, some
had me swearing at certain characters (you probably know which ones), and the
whole thing had me eagerly flipping pages which is one of the reasons I'm
addicted to this series to begin with.
The one thing I disliked was that I got really tired of Nora trying to remember things that I already know. I was screaming at her the whole time. Nora couldn't remember anything!? What in the world!?!? She didn't
remember anything after the moment before she met Patch. N.O.T.H.I.N.G. Oh well, the fantastic writing and suspense made it worth it. Great book!

ReplyDeleteIt's so sweet how Patch/Jev loves Nora so much that he would do anything to keep her safe and out of the way of Hank's plans. Personally, i think Jev is a better name for Patch because Jev sounds mysterious and Patch sounds more like a child's name. I know that Patch/Jev only meant well for Nora and erased her memory but to have a 5 month gap in your head is really scary because it's almost as if 5 months of your life has been wasted. And i dont understand why Hank wanted Nora to kill him when he could have be spared and led the Nephilim army against the fallen angels, instead, he holds a fire ball up and intends to kill Patch/Jev, WHY MAKE NORA A NEPHILIM?! I CANT WAIT FOR FINALE CANT WAIT FOR OCTOBER!!!
