Weekly Winners...

With just 2 more weeks to go until the end of our Teen Summer Reading Club blog, we just wanted to thank everyone for their well thought out comments and reviews. Whether you posted once or many times your efforts did not go unnoticed. Our goal was to create a safe place where teen booklovers could share their love of books with other like-minded teens. We hope that you have had fun and that you will continue on with our teen online bookclub starting in mid-September.  Details TBA...

      We REALLY need to have a RPL Teenrc summer's end party or something like that.

      Completely agreed. We'd need to figure out the branch and whatnot of course, maybe bring some food as well? Oh, and the day. If everyone has busy weekends we could do it in the evening on a weekday.

      the last party we had was at Brighouse 'cause that's the branch that has the space for it
      I say we do weekends cause my weekdays are full with school and hwk, etc.
      Anyone else got ideas?

      Agree, Brighouse is the main branch anyways, so I'm good with it. I agree with the weekend thing as well, weekdays are full of school and work - plus I'm sure everyone is going to be tired after the whole 'first weeks back' thing. ):

      I haven't been to a library event like this, so what did you do last time? Just talked? Games? Food? ?????????

      Well, first we had a talk/icebreaker - everyone introduced themselves, and the librarian asked who had won prizes, etc.
      Someone brought a Wii
      there was food (chips, etc.)
      and prizes (starbucks cards, white spot coupons, etc.)
      and after a while we did a photo scavenger hunt (in the library)
      and that's all I remember

      I love this! We need to have a party. I met a few people at the carnival but there's still a whole bunch of people I really want to meet! :) Brighouse and weekends sounds good.
