National "What did you read today?" Contest

People can tweet what they read to @readingcampaign with #whatdidyoureadtoday? from Nov 14 – Dec 31 for a chance to win a preloaded Kobo eReader. You can enter the contest once per day.

More contest info can be found on the official website.

We will be promoting this on our website, and posters will be sent to each branch.

Not on Twitter? This may be a good opportunity to sign up for an account and check it out.

This is what I read today, how about you?

  1. This does not really relate to the contest, but how do you post? I do not quite understand and I've been trying to figure it out for the longest time ever> :(
I only know how to comment. Anything would be helpful! Please and thanks!

  2. Great question! Ok, a few options:
You can just write a comment under any of the posts.
Or if you want you can email us your response and we can post for you: http://askus.yourlibrary.ca/reft100.aspx?key=RPL_CustFormAll.
Or you can tweet using @readingcampaign #whatareyoureadingtoday?
Or take a photo of you, or someone you know, reading and post it to your own Facebook page. Don't forget to add a "Richmond Public Library" tag to your photo, and you have to 'like' our Facebook page as well if you haven't already done so.

    Have fun!!

  3. What!?!?! I read the contest rules and it says you need to be 19 years of age at the time of entry! Is this true? :(

    1. Yah, it's kind of weird, but we are looking into it. We've contacted the person organizing to check about the age restriction. I'll let you know as soon as I know...

  4. The info we received from the National Reading Campaign coordinator is that a program for teens will be coming soon.
Also, we can tweet on your behalf if you want. Email teens@yourlibrary.ca your blurb and mention that it’s for the National Reading campaign. Once we receive your email we will tweet for you!
